Mother's Day!!

I have NO IDEA why I'm so orange here! Forget that!

Yay for another year of MOMHOOD! Yes, I look oompaloompaish on the photo, not sure why... and yes, I just took a shower. And yeah, there's tape haha! Whatever, yaya! My blog, my rules. Zipittt!

This year, my gift to myself was.. a short Makeup Crash Course! Two days after Mother's Day, which means it landed on a Tuesday- coding! Nonetheless, still got there. It was cheap, it was far, and it was colorful! Had so much fun because my girls/ladies were with me! It definitely would have been boring without them. Did I learn a lot? Uhm... not so much. BUT! I was with good, fun, friends and we spent the afternoon tinkering with makeup, what's not to like?!

The class didn't feel much like a "gift" for myself, as it was planned and ready about 2 months before (group buying site), so I guess the treat which I had bought there would be the gift? Yeah? No? Not so much? LOL!

Haaay, pangtawid gutom na contour kit? lol! Sleek, please!!
It's this contour palette- a chalky white highlighter (edited to add: I called this chalky, my friend called it CHALK!  "Chalk sya!"), and a subtle-but-obvious brown stuff. Is that a bronzer? It's perfectly matte, and completely muddy, not gold. Whatchacallit? Well, whatever it is, THAT. That's what I got from the class, because that was the first lesson- contouring. After that, we dabbled with eye colors and other face makeup, which I was prepared for (brought my own makeup). I just didn't have any contouring palette. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It's... powdery? Don't get me wrong, I think this is a decent contour kit, especially for beginners, but I've just heard so many good things about "the one I want" that I don't think I have it in me to be excited about any other contour palettes. What I really, really want is a Sleek Contour Kit, but since I don't have that, and it was a bit on-the-spot, here I am with The Makeup Artistry's contour palette. It's pretty straight to the point. I don't love it so much :( Will probably get rid of it once a certain friend of mine (ehem, MTG, ehem) gets me a Sleek kit haha!

Hmm... that is one sucky mother's day present, especially with me feeling quite indifferent about it. Maybe I should do a wishlist? Yeah, definitely!!!

If I could have anything in the world, I would want....

  1. OHM. I want peaceful roads ahead!
    Ohmmmmmm

  2. I want a Sigma Mrs. Bunny Set and the Synthetic Kabuki Set! Ooooph! Yes, please!
Les credit card cries bloody murder! Abuse! Shame on you!
  3. Decent workout shoes. I don't care about brand names, come on, it's just gonna be me, the shoes, and the TV. I don't think Shaun T. and his class would mind if I wear something generic haha! As long as it works!
    No frills.

  4. Empower 3in1 Kettlebell. I need strength training, aside from heavy cardio. (above)
  5. Hot chocolate that's sooo good, it would make my thoughts melt into oblivion.
The solution to every problem starts with a sinful cup of hot tsokolate.

  6. A morning of butter. Just me, good fresh bread, and glorious butter!! Without anyone giving me the stink eye! I'm not even gonna post a photo because I don't wanna cause my laptop to fizzle and die due to excessive drool. I DO take butter moderately, but can you imagine waking up to a full on carb breakfast with all sorts of butter on the side, NO holds barred??  Don't you roll your eyes on me! I see you! Because if you don't like butter (or vegan butter), well, I feel sorry for you. And if you do, well, mind you own butter, lady!
  7. A digital perm. My hair is just awful. Awful!!! Before it became what it is now, it was actually oh so nice! See? It used to be like that, pretty. Not so much now :/
With Little K! Miss my hair being bouncier than this!

  8. Decent makeup class. I might be getting this on Saturday, FOR FREE!! Woo hoo!!
  9. ... I don't know. I think that's it.
Yeah, I think I only really want the 8 stuff there. What does that say about me? I could actually live without 2-7 haha! Well, maybe not number 6. or 7. It's a toss up.

Regardless of all that, I had a happy Mother's Day day. I spent it out with family, eating good food, and even better dessert! Besides, we had dessert twice, how could I complain? That's sure to make me happy! Haha!
